ResNet User Survey 2002

At the end of the summer term we conducted a survey of ResNet users to gather feedback about how people use the service, what they like and dislike about it and what they would like to see improved. This took the form of a series of questions and an opportunity for longer comments. To encourage responses, we held a prize draw with a £50 prize for one user selected at random. The prize was won by Amelia Gibbons from The Hawthorns. Almost 400 people completed the survey, an excellent response from a large cross-section of ResNet users.

The responses from the survey, especially the individual comments, both positive and negative have been very useful. As the subscription charges have to meet ResNet's running costs each year, we are constrained by what we can offer while still keeping the subscription at a level which is affordable to most students. However we are pleased to see from the survey that most people are happy with the overall service: 31% rated it as excellent, 53% good, and 13% satisfactory - an overall 97% satisfaction rating.
