Campus tours

Undergraduates

Until July 2nd, 2012 only

Every Monday afternoon, an international student ambassador is available to take prospective international undergraduate students around the campus.  Friends and relatives are very welcome to join in - just let us know how many your party will be when you book.

This tour is designed specifically for international students in order to give you an idea of the layout and general facilities of the University and to be able to share experiences with the tour guide of what it's like to travel overseas for study.  You will not be able to gain entry to labs or academic departments, but you should get a feel for the place and maybe meet others also thinking of studying here.

Tours start promptly at 2pm and last for one hour.  Please note that this is a walking tour and as some areas of the University precinct are quite hilly, comfortable shoes are recommended.

All tours start in the reception area of Senate House, Tyndall Avenue and finish at the Wills Memorial Building.

If you would like to book a place, please complete the online application form here.

From July 9th, 2012

If you are a prospective international undergraduate student and are interested in visiting the university on a tour on or after July 9th, please visit our Tours and Visits page.

Self-guided tours

If you are unable to attend one of our Monday tours, you are welcome to discover more about the University through a self-guided walking tour. There are a number of podcasts that you can download, printable maps and a link to our new Walking Tour iPhone app to help you plan your visit and learn more about the University.  You can visit us at any time with these tours; although access to University buildings is limited, you will be able to find out about the range of facilities here for prospective students.
