Entry requirements for undergraduate programmes

Applicants with the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma or A-Levels will be considered for admission to our Bachelor degree programmes.

Applicants holding an Associate Degree, the Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examination (CAPE)  in six CAPE units, including two double-unit courses, or a Diploma (from Community College) with good grade profiles will be considered for undergraduate studies.

Please note that competition for places at Bristol is very strong, so the achievement of the qualifications listed above does not guarantee that an offer will be made.

Entry requirements for postgraduate programmes

The standard requirement for entry to a taught masters programme at Bristol is an undergraduate (Bachelor) degree that is equivalent to a UK Upper Second Class degree (also known as a 2:1).

Applicants holding a Bachelor degree (from the University of the West Indies or the University of Trinidad and Tobago ) with very high grades may be considered for postgraduate study.

Applicants holding a Masters degree or MPhil may be considered for PhD study.

English language requirements

Applicants with a good grade in Caribbean Examinations Council Secondary Education Certificate or O Level English are likely to be exempt from English language testing.  If English is not your first language please refer to the English language guidelines.
