We are here to help with your visa application, whether you are coming to the UK for the first time, moving to the University of Bristol from another university, or extending your student visa. All the information you require to make your application is available from this page.
If you are extending your visa at the University of Bristol we can send your visa through the UK Border Agency Student Batch Scheme, you can find more information about the Student Batch Scheme under 'Applying inside the UK' in the left hand menu.
International Advice and Support exists to help all international students get the most out of their time at Bristol and has a general welfare role. Advice is given to students at all stages of their university career, from the time an offer of a place at the University is accepted to the time of their departure from the University.
You will find within our web pages that we often refer you to a website called UKCISA. UKCISA is the UK Council for International Student Affairs and is the UK’s national advisory body serving the interests of international students and those who work with them. The UKCISA website has a wealth of useful information for you regarding immigration and other matters regarding studying and living in the UK.
Please feel free to consult International Advice and Support on any matter that puzzles or worries you. You are welcome to call in to the office without an appointment to speak to the Secretarial Assistant, or you can make an appointment to see the International Student Advisers, Phil Adkins & Sarah Sherwin.
Please be aware that the Secretarial Assistant works full-time and the International Student Advisers work part-time.
