The International Office is very pleased you have chosen to come and study with us at the University of Bristol. The following information is designed to help you make your preparations to come to the UK and plan your journey to Bristol and the University.

**ARRIVING DURING THE OLYMPICS (27th July - 12th August) - We recommend that if at all possible you fly to airports outside of the London area. Flying to Bristol would be easiest, but even Birmingham or Liverpool would probably be better options than London at this time of year. Check the UKBA latest updates to be prepared.**

Arriving in the UK

Starting at the University
- Welcome Week - Information on events which we run in welcome week. These include Police Registration, Immigration and also social events to help you meet new friends. Orientation will be held on Wednesday 3rd October 2012.
- Police Registration - Certain nationalities will be required to register at our local Bristol Police Station as part of their immigration requirements.
- Information for new students - Information on how to get the most out of your first few weeks at the university; including registration packs, accommodation and funding information.
