Studying or working abroad is an exciting and rewarding experience that adds an international element to your degree scheme. At the University of Bristol, the Outgoing Study and Work Abroad Team (SWAP-Out) helps facilitate over 600 international placements each year.
If you are interested in studying or working abroad as part of your degree scheme, have a look at the pages below to see what options are offered by your department. If your department does not currently offer an international placement as part of your degree, there are a plethora of summer programmes, a few of which are listed on our Overseas summer placements page.
On October 21st SWAP-Out will be hosting our annual Study Abroad Fair. This will be a great opportunity to talk to students who have returned from their years abroad, pick up promotional materials about potential study placements, and discuss year abroad queries with key services, i.e. the Student Funding Office, Careers, SWAP.
All students with an interest in studying abroad are welcome to attend, but the event will be most useful for those planning to go abroad in the 2016-17 academic year. To ensure you know what your university options are before you arrive, please take a look at our guidance on what you can study and where.
The Study Abroad Fair will be help in the Anson Rooms (Richmond Building), 1-3pm, October 21st.
