Caroline Relton's Inaugural Lecture
29 September 2017
Epigenetic Epidemiology: How biology makes us different
Professor Caroline Relton’s inaugural lecture, delivered 5-years after she became chair in Epigenetic Epidemiology in Bristol, was well worth the wait. She struck the right balance between personal history (how she got to where she is now), description of her innovative and important science in a way that was accessible and interesting to the diverse audience and thanks to and engagement with her family, friends and colleagues. The rapturous prolonged applause at the end was heart felt and acknowledged Caroline’s intellect, generosity, warmth and sense of fun.
