Links with industry
The methodological advances developed at the MRC Integrative Epidemiology Unit are of increasing relevance to translational research. We are actively seeking to work collaboratively with industry partners across a range of scientific questions and challenges, including methodology; target identification and validation; and device, software or intervention development and testing.
So far, we have worked with industry partners on a range of projects:
- Use of ALSPAC data to inform key obesity targets
- Omics derived sub-groups of asthma related respiratory phenotypes
- Sphingosine 1-phosphate receptor subtype 1 (S1P1R) genetic profiles in endothelial function and disease
- Building a human behavioural model of tobacco withdrawal to test novel smoking cessation treatments.
