Technical Research Officer - Photography

My role is to provide help and support on all aspects of photography from high resolution studio capture through to lecture capture using mobile devices. Support covers the whole process from planning a shoot, choosing equipment, colour management, image editing, storage and delivery.

I work at JISC Digital Imaging 3 days a week.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

In addition to my role at JISC Digital Media I am a photographer with over 20 years experience in digital imaging. I have worked for a wide range of magazine and book publishers along with corporate clients.

At JISC Digital Media I have supported staff accross the HE, FE and GLAM (Galleries, Libraries And Museums) sector. The support ranges from a quick phone call to on site training.

Interests

To complement my work in digital photography I am rediscovering the unique qualities of the analogue (film) media. This includes a long term pinhole photography project for the National Trust.

Other interests include long distance running and ice cream and anything rusty.
