Professor Robert Bickers has just received notification that an AHRC Connected Communities Development Grant proposal he submitted before Christmas has been funded. His team comprises Professor Mark Horton (Archaeology), Dr Angela Piccini (Drama), Dr Mike Fraser (Computer Science) and from History Dr Tim Cole, Professor Peter Coates and Dr Josie McLellan.
The grant is for local community engagement, with a wide range of partners, focusing on the City Council; £25k will fund six local community events in the spring and early summer, co-organised with local community partners, and with overall partnership with Bristol City Council’s ‘Know Your Place’ team.
