Getting to the University
Graduation is a very busy time of year and there may be congestion in and around the city. In order to ease traffic levels, and in line with our Climate Emergency announcement we strongly recommend public transport.

Wills Memorial Building
The graduation ceremony takes place in the Wills Memorial Building.
There is a gown drop-off point on the ground floor.

Richmond Building (The Students' Union)
Ticket and gown collection takes place in the Richmond Building.

It takes about 15 minutes to walk between these two locations. It is a downhill walk from the Richmond Building to the Wills Memorial Building.
The areas around these buildings will be very busy, so you should take this into consideration.
There is no general car parking on the University precinct. However, there is designated parking available if you have a blue badge. You must book disabled parking with the graduation team.
Staying in Bristol
Bags and luggage
You will not be able to bring in luggage or large bags to the ceremony. We recommend you travel light or leave your luggage at your place of accommodation. Any small bag you do bring in may be subject to a search for security reasons.
There are left-luggage facilities available in the city if you need to store items. Options include:
Neither of these options are very close to the University. The amount of storage available at each may be limited. We recommend calling on the day to check there is space for your item(s).
