Audio classification with Convolutional Neural Networks

23 May 2019, 2.00 PM - 23 May 2019, 4.00 PM

Room 2.26, 35 Berkeley Square, University of Bristol, BS8 1SE

The world is full of sound, and until recently, it was a very human characteristic to be able to identify from whom or what they belong to.

But not anymore! With the development and increased availability of machine learning models, accurately identifying sounds is an ability within the grasp of modern computers and programmers.

In this workshop, we will train a convolutional neural network (powered by IBM Watson) to identify spectrograms of a number of speakers.

Please bring...

A laptop and prior to the workshop, please ensure you have set up an IBM Cloud account
