|November 1-22 2018||Full-year study abroad application period
Second-year students intending to study abroad in 2019/20 submit online applications to Global Opportunities with three chosen destinations.
Semester study abroad application period
First-year students intending to study abroad in 2019/20 submit online applications to Global Opportunities with three chosen destinations.
|Early December 2018||Your allocated destination is confirmed*
|December - 31 January 2019||School of Modern Languages (SML) study abroad registration period
SML students submit online registration to Global Opportunities with approved year abroad plans.
|January - June 2019||Study abroad applications due to partner universities
The Global Opportunities team will inform you of your university's exact deadline.
|January - March 2019||Global Opportunities meetings with outgoing students
Meetings are organised by country or continent
|April 2019||Global Opportunities pre-departure information
Meetings and online training programmes. Optional inter-cultural and wellbeing workshops also available.
|July - October 2019||Year abroad and TB1 semester abroad programmes
Start of year abroad and TB1 semester abroad programmes at partner universities.
|January - April 2019||TB2 semester abroad programmes
Start of TB2 semester abroad programmes at partner universities.
*Students are notified of their allocated partner university by the Global Opportunities team. Final confirmation of study abroad placement is subject to acceptance from the partner university abroad. Students must also meet the minimum threshold set by their department in order to study abroad.
