Israel-Palestine research group

Mainstream academic and popular readings of Israel and Palestine tend to simplify, trivialise and even naturalise the complexity of the enduring Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The Israel-Palestine Research Group, therefore, working under the auspices of Bristol’s Global Insecurities Centre, aims to engage in the study of Israel and Palestine from a critical perspective. This Research Group does not limit its scope to areas such as political science and sociology. Rather, the approach is interdisciplinary and plural in nature, aiming to create a point of dialogue amongst various perspectives so as to critically analyse, illuminate, understand and challenge the complexity of the Israel-Palestine question.
