Nuclear Insecurities Working Group

The Nuclear Insecurities Working Group of the GIC is interested in critical approaches to the theorisation and empirical study of nuclear insecurities and the risks associated with nuclear issues.  We take insecurities and risk as our angle of vision to address the governance of nuclear insecurities – whether by states, international organisations or other actors – and the ways in which nuclear technologies and infrastructures – part of a wider landscape of technological risk – can be addressed through a politics of insecurity. Beyond research, the activities of the working group include teaching and public engagement on nuclear insecurities.
