Our group addresses a wide range of social, political, economic, demographic, health and environmental research questions. Many studies have important implications for policy, democracy, social justice, sustainability, and/or human flourishing. One common thread running through all our work is the use of rigorous, sophisticated, and often innovative quantitative research methods. Another is our sensitivity to geography -- to the diversity of the human experience across neighbourhoods and around the the world, to the innumerable questions that such diversity inspires, and to the methodological challenges and opportunities this diversity presents.
