The French Department at Bristol, one of the largest in the country, is committed to helping postgraduate students to achieve excellence in their chosen areas of study and to develop skills for their future careers. The Department currently has thirteen full-time members of staff with specialities covering the range of French Studies. This lively and supportive environment allows both taught Masters and thesis students to pursue their particular academic interests within a flexible and expert academic framework. Training in research skills and methodologies is available at all levels.
Students may apply either for a one-year Master’s degree or for a higher research degree.
