An academic transcript is an official document that shows:
Transcripts are provided in sealed envelopes with the University stamp to prove that the document is authentic. Each copy has an accompanying sheet explaining the grading system.
To apply for an academic transcript, please contact the Faculty Office, D28, Medical Sciences Building or send an email to (fmvs-ugenquiries@bristol.ac.uk). You will need to include your student number ( if known), name, date of birth and programme of study. Please also include your contact details and the number of transcripts you would like.
You are entitled to one free copy of your transcript each year while you are a student, and up to a year after graduation. Any additional copies are then charged at £10 for the first copy and £5 per copy after that, if you graduated from 2005 onwards. If you graduated before 2005 the initial cost is £20 and then £5 per copy. We regret that academic transcripts cannot be issued until payment, if appropriate, has been received.
Payment can be made by:
Cheques: To be made payable to ‘University of Bristol’ and posted to the Faculty Office, D28 Medical Sciences, University Walk Bristol BS8 1TD.
Credit cards: Card details to be provided on a Credit Card Authorisation Form [rtf, 8 KB]. The form should be either posted to the above address or alternatively faxed to: +44 (0)117 3311889. Please ensure that you complete the details carefully as an unsuccessful payment will delay the receipt of your transcripts.
Normally transcripts are prepared within 10 working days from the receipt of the application, except during busy periods following graduation and the autumn term. It is therefore a good idea to order your transcripts as early as possible to ensure they are ready in time for any deadlines.
