Financial information system

The Financial Information System (FIS) was developed following recommendations from the University Budget Committee. It provides management information on the financial position of each Budget Unit and Budget Centre and was introduced in the construction of the 2003/04 Budget. The FIS breaks down financial information into income and expenditure streams for each Budget Unit. Additionally central services costs and corporate costs are attributed to Budget Units. Key drivers of the allocation of the financial data are staff numbers, student numbers, expenditure and space.
