Commonwealth Master's & PhD Scholarships

Funded by the UK Department for International Development (DFID), these Scholarships enable talented and motivated individuals to gain the knowledge and skills required for sustainable development, and are aimed at those who could not otherwise afford to study in the UK.

What is it?

These scholarships are aimed at helping taleted individuals who could not otherwise afford to study in the UK further their education.

Commonwealth Master’s Scholarships

These are for candidates from low and middle income Commonwealth countries, to undertake full-time taught Master’s study at a UK university.

Commonwealth PhD Scholarships

These are for candidates from least developed countries and fragile states in the Commonwealth, for full-time doctoral study at a UK university.

When is the deadline?

The deadline for applications to be submitted is 30 October 2019.

Students from over 40 different countries are eligible to apply for a Commonwealth Master's or PhD Scholarship.
