Education for Sustainability

The University has been selected as a HEA Green Academy. What does that mean? What is education for sustainability? What relevance does it have to your teaching? How can we support students in understanding the impacts and opportunities of their disciplines and conduct?

It's not just about green issues - it includes education for sustainability looks at health, social justice/inclusion, safety and security. It is not just about knowledge, it is about the type of learners we all are - partnership building, flexibility etc. We all have opportunities to use some of the techniques of E f S.

Chris Willmore Undergraduate Dean in Social Sciences and Law and Martin Wiles Head of Sustainability - both members of the University Green Academy group - will facilitate the session.
