e-Assessment Event

e-Assessment at the University of Bristol:

What have we learned and where are we going?

2 July 2009

1pm – 4pm

Cabot Room, The Hawthorns

This academic year has seen continued increase at the UoB in the use of technology to deliver and support assessment. This follows a successful 2 year pilot of the Questionmark Perception online assessment system and ongoing expansion in the use of other tools such as Blackboard for various forms of assessment.

This event will allow you to catch up with what has been going on with e-assessment and find out how you start to take advantage of it yourself.

With an introduction by Dr John Davis, Academic Director of e-Learning, “Scoping a Vision for e-Assessment”.

This seminar will include case studies presented by Academic staff who are using online methods:

The session will be an opportunity to answer questions such as:

What’s involved in setting up and organising online assessments?

What facilities are available in your Faculty and around the University?

What support is available to help you get started?

What have others experienced?

You will also be able to book a dedicated meeting with one of the e-Assessment Team to help develop your ideas and get training in the use of e-Assessment software and procedures.
