This version of the Code was the one which was circulated for consultation during the Spring Term.
A Leadership and Management Fora dedicated to the developing Code of Practice was held on Thursday 6 March 12:45-14:00. The session was introduced by a presentation (powerpoint, 5.23mb) from Gill Clarke.
Revised Assessment Guidelines: May 2007
The Guidelines above include the approved proposals, which are highlighted in colour in the document. The revisions should be considered as good practice, to be followed wherever possible, for the rest of the 2006/07 academic year; coming into effect formally from the start of the 2007/08 academic year.
Assessment Review Proposals for Approval: May 2007
The proposals of the Assessment Review were submitted to Education Committee in April and Senate in May 2007 for approval.
Stage Two Report for Consultation: February 2007
The Stage Two report of the Assessment Review was submitted to Education Committee and Senate in January/February 2007 for initial comment and then circulated to the faculties and support services for consideration.
Stage One Report and Annexes: May 2006
The Stage One report of the Assessment Review was submitted to Education Committee, UPARC and Senate in May/June 2006 for consideration.

The Steering Group's Terms of Reference are:
The Group reports to Education Committee.
The Group is a time-limited group and will meet on an ad-hoc basis until the assessment review has been completed and the outcomes satisfactorily communicated.
The Group will manage five sub-groups, each of which are served with the remit of investigating a particular assessment topic.

It was agreed that sub-groups would be convened to manage each of the five assessment topics below. Gill Clarke and Professor David James (University of the West of England) will attend sub-group meetings when appropriate.
