Joseph is e-Learning Implementation Officer in the Educational Support Unit. He joined Bristol University to support the IeLS project, particularly the Content System.
Joseph’s role involves
• Support for strategic content projects such as eReserves
• Consultation at Faculty/School level with regard to reuse of widely used content
• Consultation/pilots with Academics using content management to support their workload
• Staff Development workshops based around effective use of teaching content and using cloud collaboration to support student work
• Also tailored workshops for Faculties or Schools to support rollout of the Content System
Current interests include cloud computing, content management, eReserves, learning design, collaborative social networks, video use in education, and data integration to support organisational planning.
In his last post Joseph worked for 5 years as the Virtual Learning Environments Manager at City of Bristol College. Prior to this he worked as an IT trainer for Yeo Valley in the private sector. Before moving to the south west Joseph worked for London Metropolitan University in a number of roles including IT Support Officer and Visiting Lecturer.
