Douglas Hamilton

e-Learning Support Officer

I specialise in helping people effectively use technology tools in their teaching.

These days that often means Blackboard, the Internet, media tools, and presentation technologies.  But whatever the technique, my focus is always on enabling effective learning, rather than the technology.

Here are some of the things I know about:  

• Instructional design and pedagogy
• Virtual Learning Environments such as Blackboard
• Coursecasting (lecture recording)
• Presentation technologies
• Graphics
• Web and Flash development
• Accessibility
• Audio and video production
• Writing / storyboard development

I am completely bi-lingual, with extensive experience translating tech jargon into English.
