Pete is the Blackboard/VLE Help Desk adviser and his main responsibility is to act as the first point of contact for the e-Learning Team. Pete primarily supports academic and support staff with questions on Blackboard and its use in supporting learning at the University.
His responsibilities also incorporate one to one and group support for Blackboard, and he runs the workshop ‘Introduction to Blackboard for support and administration staff’ and assists on the ‘Introduction to Blackboard for academic staff’.
As part of the IeLS project he has been promoting and helping staff and students set up spaces on Blackboard using the functionality of the Community System.
He is also the lead on the Blackboard Mobile implementation and has a wider interest in how mobile technology can be utilised as part of teaching provision.
