Teaching Interests
Chaucer; Arthurian legend; medieval romance; medieval Latin and the classical tradition; women and writing in the Middle Ages.
For the English Department I teach Literature 1 (Medieval Literature), Approaches to Shakespeare, and seminars including 'Medieval to Renaissance', 'Women and Writing in the Middle Ages', 'From Romance to the Novel', and 'Arthurian Literature'. I also contribute to the teaching for the MA in Medieval Studies.
Administrative responsibilities
I am President of the British Branch of the International Arthurian Society (2011-). I am the co-editor of Arthurian Literature, a journal of Arthurian Studies published annually.
