Professor Helen Fulton to give O'Donnell lecture
5 June 2017
Professor Helen Fulton has been elected as O’Donnell Lecturer at the University of Oxford for 2017-18. The O’Donnell Lectures in Celtic Studies were established with a legacy from Charles James O’Donnell and have been held annually since 1954, when the first lectures were given by J. R. R. Tolkien. Helen will deliver her lecture in May 2018. She said: ‘I’m extremely honoured to have been chosen by the Electors and to be following in the footsteps of some truly great scholars whose lectures have been groundbreaking and inspirational.’ The Department sends its warmest congratulations to Helen on this prestigious appointment.
