International Pre-Masters Programme


Programme aims

The International Pre-Masters Programme (IPP) is designed to prepare you for postgraduate study in the UK.

As well as improving your knowledge and use of academic English grammar and vocabulary, we will help you develop an awareness of the expectations of study at Master's level at a top UK institution.

Programme structure

On the International Pre-Masters Programme, you will do up to 21 hours per week of supervised study. We offer small classes of no more than 16, providing you with the help and attention you need during your study.

Progression

When you complete the programme you will be awarded a Pathway Certificate in English for Academic Purposes by the University of Bristol. You will also receive a transcript from CELFS stating the units you studied and the grade achieved.

Supporting you while you learn

During your studies with us, we will help you adjust to living and studying in the UK, and we will give you lots of support in applying for postgraduate programmes at the University of Bristol and other universities.

Funding

We offer a tuition-fee reduction to one IPP applicant each year, via the CELFS Academic Potential Prize. Find out more about the Prize.

All IPP students on the full-year programme starting in September are guaranteed University accommodation.
