14 October 2016
On 14th October 2016, the Faculty of Engineering took back a newly refurbished specialist research laboratory for non-destructive testing. The work was carried out by Willmott Dixon as part of the Engineering Growth Project.
The refurbishment also included associated office space and both the laboratory and the office space showcase the Engineering Growth Project colour scheme being used for the overall scheme.
The laboratory houses facilities to support internationally leading research into ultrasonics and acoustics and will also accommodate a new faraday cage and laser facility.
Professor Bruce Drinkwater said that "We now have a well designed and well built UNDT lab. This is a hugely improved working environment and I'm incredibly excited about the research we can achieve in this space".
