The Inside Track Seminar - Employers on campus and preparing for the Engineering & IT Careers Fair
Careers Service & BAE Systems.
1.11, Merchant Venturers Building.
The Inside Track Seminars are discussion sessions for you to explore careers, employability and industry links.
Find out what employers really want to see from students and how to make the most of this term's Careers Fairs as well as the many employer events taking place on campus.
This seminar, the first of the new academic year, will be a Question and Answer session with Stephen Dickie, a graduate from BAE Systems, to offer a company's perspective.
Representatives from the ILO and the Careers Service will also be on hand to help you maximise this term’s Careers Fairs and other employer events.
Bring your lunch - all welcome.
For an hour after the seminar, the Faculty of Engineering Employability Adviser Gareth Hughes (Careers Service) will be available in the foyer of the Merchant Venturers Building (upper atrium) for students to drop in and talk about anything careers related, including any queries, CV advice and how to access further support.
The Inside Track Seminar series is an informal forum aimed at students to provide a regular opportunity to discuss in an open environment any industry or careers related issues you have. Each week will have a theme, but there will also be the opportunity to bring any other questions you have (e.g. about CVs, job applications, types of industry, internships etc.). Members of staff from the Careers Service and Industrial Liaison Office will be at each session, and each week we will invite relevant guests from industry.
