The deployment of lightweight, high performance composite materials will become a necessity if sustainability is to be achieved across a wide range of applications. Currently, the use of such materials is impaired by their sensitivity to damage.

The research by Professor Bond takes inspiration from nature which has evolved a range of damage mitigation and repair techniques.

If you require additional support for any of the lectures, e.g. wheelchair access or sign language interpretation, please contact Laura Bagley at the earliest opportunity and we will endeavour to meet your request.

Free to attend and no booking required.
