We don’t have one as such but we would strongly urge you, especially International students to have applied before the end of June prior to the start of the academic year you are applying for. This means that you will have plenty of time to accept your offer (if made one) and apply for your accommodation before 01 August.
If you have provided all the required information and supporting documents with your application, you should receive an email informing you of the decision within 3 weeks of receipt of application followed by the formal paperwork.
Full-time study takes one year. The next intake will be in October 2010. These courses can also be studied on a part-time basis (by students who don’t require a visa) between 2 – 5 years.
If you are offered the Postgraduate Diploma entry, this means that your first degree doesn’t quite equate to a UK Honours level degree, which means that you would be eligible to enter straight onto the Masters Degree. This doesn’t mean that you will have to take longer to reach the Masters Degree but it will mean that the results for your first three assignments will be monitored to make sure your grades are between A – C and once this has been established you will automatically be transferred onto the Masters Degree and be able to complete the course with a dissertation.
All students are provided with a personal tutor who will support them academically and also a supervisor for the dissertation stage of the course. The University also has a number of specialised departments who can assist you with the various areas of studying and living in Bristol. All this information will be provided on arrival at the University.
When you have been made an offer for a place of study and received your formal offer paperwork, please sign and return one copy of the offer of admission form. You will be able to apply for accommodation after 01 April and once you have accepted an unconditional offer your will be allocated accommodation.
