Doctor of Education entry requirements

Candidates should hold a degree of a UK University or equivalent. In addition, they will normally be expected to possess a Masters degree or equivalent postgraduate qualification in education and to have had at least three years appropriate professional experience. Exemptions are possible for holders of appropriate Masters degrees.

If English is not your first language, you will need an IELTS score of 6.5 or above, or its equivalent for entry to the LLP or Narrative pathways. This may include previous study at an English-speaking institution. You will need an IELTS score of 7.0 .or above, or its equivalent for entry to the TESOL pathway. In this case, previous study at an English-speaking institution is not accepted.

Doctor of Education fee structure for new students starting in October 2011

Students commencing the Doctor of Education in 2009-10 onwards are subject to a different fee structure although the overall cost for comparison is the same. There will be an increase in fees at the start of each academic year.The fees for students on the new fee structure can be found here.
