Doctor of Education (EdD)

Our Doctorate in Education programme has the following aims:

• Excellent doctoral level research is the main aim of the programme.
• Taught units are designed around the specialist knowledge of the unit leaders, who have excellent international research records.
• Different facets of the research process and contemporary educational debates are explored in the taught units.
• Courses are designed in a sustainable manner.
• Research methods, theory, argumentation and evaluation skills are developed through the taught units and the dissertation. 
• Stimulate and change students’ professional thinking and practice.
