Music Education Network

meNet was a COMENIUS-3-Network funded by the European Commission’s Programme Sokrates-Comenius.  Teacher educators and school music teachers from 26 institutions within 11 European countries came together to work.  We were supported by ‘associate partners’, from about 90 institutions from 23 countries across the world..

All partners contributed to all work, then took responsibility for preparing specific areas for the web.  Marina Gall, at the Graduate School of Education, was largely associated with Music Teacher Education although she is now also working with the Learning Outcomes group.

Marina Gall also took a lead in considering ICT and Music and is currently lead editor on a book focusing on ICT and music education; a collection of papers by educationalists from all over Europe.  She will be writing the first chapter; Nick Breeze (Graduate School of Education) is to write the chapter on music technology in England.  In addition:
