DICE is a network for early to mid-career researchers in the Graduate School of Education, providing a forum for discussion, collaboration and support. The network’s agenda includes the organisation of workshops and meetings for sharing ideas and expertise in relation to research development issues such as: conceptualising ideas, grant writing, publishing, project management and impact.
DICE represents and includes a range of individuals from the different research themes embodying the research goals set within the GSoE research strategy. In this sense, it is a cross-cutting network that unites staff from the three research themes thus forging potential new collaborations across the themes.
Early career researchers from a range of disciplines and with different research interests are likely to share interests for learning about the practicalities involved in writing grant applications, conducting research and publishing. DICE activities support these interests and provide spaces where members of different research themes can collaborate in ways difficult to occur ‘naturally’ given the disparity of their specific research interests.
