Methodological Fora

Innovative Methodologies are critical to our work as researchers.  The kinds of methodologies we use, such as  narrative enquiry, ethnography, discourse analysis, or advanced statistical techniques such as Multi-Level Modelling, all help us look at problems and issues in teaching and learning in new ways. In this way we are able to arrive at new understandings and effect changes in small and big ways.

Our view is that the tools we use to undertake our research are as important as the topics that we choose to research.  To enable ongoing engagement with the development of innovative methodologies, we have developed dedicated spaces over the  - Methodological  Fora  - where we will engage directly with the questions of ‘how’  to do our research, the ethical issues that might be involved,  and how best to work with  the subjects of our research as co-producers.
