SOE in successful bid with Bristol City Council & the National College for School Leadership Strategic School Improvement Fund (SSIF)
29 January 2018
The School of Education's Jon James and Sally Thomas have been involved in a successful bid with Bristol City Council and the National College for School Leadership Strategic School Improvement Fund (SSIF).
The title of the bid is: Leadership for Learning’: Targeted support and multi-layered leadership development within and across schools to improve pupil outcomes and reduce the current gap in performance between Bristol schools (EYFS – Year 11).
Bristol is to assist in the evaluation of this important city-wide intervention. This kind of research, led by local schools, is a tangible means by which the School of Education (SoE) can support schools to achieve meaningful impact through interventions by drawing on our research strengths in evaluation.
It also builds on a critical aspect of the SoE which are our strong links with local schools and the LA. This has been achieved over many years through the work of our PGCE team, staff on the MSc and other teaching programmes and through past and ongoing collaborative research.
Congratulations to all those involved!
