School of Education to host Chartered College of Teaching event,'Assessment in Practise'

The School of Education will host the Chartered College of Teaching event,'Assessment in Practise' on Saturday 4th November 2017.

This one-day event will address a variety of approaches around assessment, featuring breakout sessions and speakers discussing real-life case studies and reflections on current practice. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with what the research says about effective assessment. The event programme will bring together researchers and teachers to discuss their work in a series of interactive sessions and will consider how the research impacts on classroom practice.

Dr Sue Timmis (School of Education) and Professor Ros Sutherland (former member of staff at the School of Education) are to name some of the keynote speakers at this event.  They will be discussing 'Can technology transform educational assessment?'.
