GSoE staff nominated for Bristol Teaching Awards 2017
10 May 2017
We are delighted to say that the GSoE have received two nominations at the Bristol Teaching Awards 2017.
Lorna Smith has been short-listed for the Students' Award for Outstanding Teaching in the Faculty of Social Sciences & Law. This is a real testament to Lorna's teaching and yet another indication of the outstanding quality of our PGCE teaching in the School.
John Gammage, a current PGCE English student said, "The nomination is the very least Lorna deserves. Her efforts and commitment to the course, and us, are extremely keenly felt and enormously appreciated, valued and respected by us all. She's consistently been a real inspiration and source of strength for us all. We'll all be rooting for you Lorna; but, regardless of the result, you'll always be the winner in our eyes!".
Antonia Lythgoe and her Teach First team have also been shortlisted for the University Award for Education.
The winners are announced at the Awards Dinner and Ceremony which will be held on the evening of Tuesday 6th June.
Many congratulations and best of luck to Lorna, Antonia & the Teach First Team.
