Doctoral students at last year's conference
The Graduate School of Education’s annual doctoral student conference begins tomorrow and this year’s programme promises a fantastic couple of days! Organised for doctoral students, by doctoral students, with support from the Doctoral Programmes Office, this year’s theme is Interdisciplinarity and reflectivity in Social Science research
and offers something for every doctoral student.
- Keynote Guest Speakers Dr Mike Yearworth (Department of Civil Engineering, University of Bristol) “Between Education and Engineering: Interdisciplinarity” (17th June) and Professor Harry Daniels (Education Department, University of Bath) “Reflectivity in social science research” (18th June)
- Innovative doctoral research presentations spanning School effectiveness and reflexivity, language and imaging, neuroscience, maths education, special educational needs, Technology Enhanced Learning, and more….
- Panels on burning issues: ‘The Viva experience’ (17th June), followed by a social event, and ‘The Student upgrade experience’ (18th June).
