Speaker: Daniel Muijs, Ofsted

In this presentation I will look at the role of inspection in improving quality, drawing on the international evidence base. I will explore the need for inspection frameworks to be evidence-informed, and how at Ofsted we aim to ensure that we draw on both existing evidence and conduct our own research to make sure this is the case. I will discuss how we evaluate implementation  and impact of our work. I will illustrate the concept of evidence-based inspection using the development and evaluation of our Education Inspection Framework as an example.
