CREAB is launching a summer term seminar series to report on "work in progress". These will be relatively informal events designed to open up discussion.
Abstract: I will argue that theory (and research as evolving theory) has a necessary and unambiguous role to play in teachers’ professional knowledge (Orchard and Winch forthcoming). However, if this belief is not shared widely and quickly by those outside the academy, including teachers, then what part can research-intensive universities like Bristol play in teacher education in England in the future?
