Research Interests
Robert Sauer's main research fields are labour economics and applied micro-econometrics. His current research focuses on female labour force participation, the returns to volunteer labour, and the determinants of charitable giving. He is also working on new simulated maximum likelihood techniques that facilitate the estimation of discrete choice dynamic programming models, as well as other complex econometric models involving discrete choices.
