Professor Stephen Sparks and Dr Juliet Biggs have received awards to accelerate the impact of their research. These awards are part of a pilot funding scheme from Natural Environment Research Council (NERC) which have awarded five grants totalling £70,000 across four Schools.

Maricel Williams awarded grant from the World University Network

Congratulations to Maricel Williams, a PhD student here in the School of Earth Sciences, who has been awarded a Research Mobility Programme grant from the World University Network. Her proposal is entitled The pelagic record of ocean acidification since industrialisation, and will enable collaborative research with the University of Bergen in Norway.
