Earth Sciences Students win commendations

Congratulations to Duncan Muir and Rachel Warnock for receiving Faculty of Sciences Commendations for 'Excellence in a PhD Thesis'
Rachel's thesis titled "Integrating molecular and paleontological approaches to telling evolutionary time" was supervised by Professor Philip Donoghue.
Duncan's thesis titled "Petrologic constraints on magma storage conditions beneath Uturuncu volcano SW Bolivia" was supervised by Dr Alison Rust and Professor Jon Blundy.
Rachel and Duncan are now put forward for the Faculty of Science thesis prize award, which will be announced later this year. Congratulations to all involved.
