Disability Services is the first point of contact for most prospective D/deaf and disabled students. This includes visually impaired students, D/deaf students, dyslexic students, students who have used or do use mental health services and students with unseen impairments such as epilepsy.
Disability Services runs a number of Information Days for D/deaf and disabled students in March or April each year. The Information Days are for applicants to the University who have indicated on their UCAS form that they have a disability. Disability Services will contact these students to invite them to one of the Information Days. The day will provide an opportunity to find out more about the University and what it is like to be a student here. It will also cover information about funding to help students co-ordinate the support that he or she needs for the new academic year. Applicants with conditional offers are strongly encouraged to attend.
