Poole General Hospital is an Acute District Hospital, being part of the Poole NHS Foundation Trust. The hospital provides a full range of routine and specialist care for the residents of Poole, including OMFS, orthodontics and Restorative Dental Care.
There are 5 SHO posts, which are European Working Time Directive and New Deal compliant. All posts are for 6 months, and are renewable subject to Trainer review. One of the five posts is a GPT post linked to a DF1(VT) year in the Swanage dental practice. The SHOs have clinical duties at Poole General Hospital. Posts are recognised for the MJDF/MFDSRCS and the MRCS examination.
