Saturday classes for the NEBDN Diploma in Dental Nursing
The student must be working in general dental practice, either private or NHS, and ideally have at least 3 months chair side experience. The course requires good communication and literacy skills. The full NEBDN syllabus and curriculum will be covered and a record of experience kept. A personal tutor will be allocated to each student.
Starts September 2012, new applications being accepted now for the classes that will run for 3 Saturday mornings each month. The classes will be held with an approx start time of 9.30am and run for 3 hours per class.

NEBDN DIPLOMA IN DENTAL NURSING COURSE (accredited by the NEBDN for the GDC)
Aim: To prepare candidates for the NEBDN Diploma in Dental Nursing exam
Where: Knowledge Spa, Treliske Hospital, Truro
When: Monday evenings, 7.30pm - 9.30pm from 2nd October 2012 to June 2013 with mock exams in September 2013. Additional sessions in January 2014 for those candidates sitting the practical part of the exam.

Cornwall College Dental Nurse Training 2011/12- Covering Cornwall, West Devon and Plymouth
Cornwall College are continuing to offer their successful Dental Nurse Training from Saltash, St Austell and Camborne Campuses. Encompassing the City & Guilds Level 3 Diploma in Dental Nursing the course enables Dental Nurses to gain the required accreditation to meet the mandatory registration required by the GDC.
The Dental Nursing Apprenticeship offers employers and candidates a flexible route to training. Nurses will be required to attend evening workshops, which will develop their skills and knowledge across a broad range of units. During their time off-the-job Nurses will also be required to complete Key Skills (where applicable) in Communication & Application of Number at Level 2 as well as the Edexcel BTEC Level 3 Extended Award in Workskills for Apprenticeships. In conjunction to their College attendance nurses will be visited in the workplace by qualified assessors, who are themselves practising dental nurses, to facilitate the achievement of the competency based portfolio element of the Apprenticeship. In total the course will take no longer than 18 months to complete.
The Dental Nurse Level 3 Apprenticeship is currently fully funded for anyone aged 16 - 18. Those over 19 will incur a charge of £750*.
